Lockheed Martin Aircraft Argentina has designed a new advanced light attack jet trainer version of the AT-63 Pampa. This includes the APG-67V4 radar (able to employ beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles and track ten targets at once), the TFE-731 turbofan engine, and new missile warning radars. LMAA says it has a launch customer for the new version, and while the company would not divulge this customer it is generally thought to be Colombia, which is looking for jet attack planes to replace its slower OV-10 Bronco and A-37B Dragonfly aircraft.--Stephen V Cole
