Finland has signed a $176 million contract to purchase 57 CV9030 tracked infantry fighting vehicles. These are the same IFVs purchased by Norway and Sweden; Finland picked the Norwegian version with its 30mm autocannon instead of the 40mm gun mounted in the Swedish CV9040 version. Sweden will build the vehicles while Finland will build the turrets. Switzerland has also ordered CV90s. Together, some 850 CV90s are on order or in service.--Stephen V Cole
