In Chechnya, the 291st Regiment/42nd Infantry Division crews of two upgraded MT-LB armored personnel carriers conducted firepower demonstrations for the Russian press. The early March event showcased these upgraded vehicles (roughly equivalent to the US M113 APC) hitting 95 percent of their assigned targets.
