To improve its ability to attack enemy air defenses, the Air Force is upgrading its ASQ-213 HARM Targeting Systems so that they can use Joint Stand-Off Weapons against such targets. Because JSOW does not have its own guidance and the HTS system is designed to work with the radar-seeking HARM missile, the new R7 version of the HTS will combine data from two F-16C50s to improve the targeting data for JSOW.--Stephen V Cole
