The US Army plans to send to field units some prototypes of a new radar designed to penetrate foliage and detect enemy units and vehicles. The radar was developed by Lockheed Martin, DARPA, and the Army. The radar will be carried by a modified RC-12 Guardrail surveillance aircraft. --Stephen V Cole
