Israel's next test of the Arrow-2 anti-missile interceptor will be the first in which the target missile is fired toward Israel from a ship and the interceptor is launched from the Israeli coast. In all previous tests, the target was fired from Israel aimed out to sea, while the Arrow-1 or Arrow-2 interceptor was launched from a ship. The change of direction is intended to instill confidence that Arrow-2 can actually protect broad areas of Israeli real estate from missile attacks.--Stephen V Cole
