The US Marines are looking for a light combat vehicle to support regular operations and conduct long-distance patrols. It must fit inside a CH-53 helicopter, be able to carry three or four people plus an M240 7.62mm machinegun and a 40mm Mk19 grenade launcher, run on diesel fuel, and have good range and speed.
