December 27, 2012:
The U.S. let it be known that it is training over a hundred prosecutors in how to go after foreigners who have been identified as waging Cyber War against the U.S. or simply committing crimes via the Internet. The FBI, NSA, Department of Defense, and CIA would present evidence that the prosecutors had been trained to understand and this could lead to indictments and sanctions against individuals. Such prosecutions might not always result in the foreign cyber-criminal ending up in an American jail but it would put them on notice that their activities were known, in detail, and that they best be careful about their international travel.
