US intelligence says that Iraq has been working on high-speed low-altitude cruise missiles to threaten its neighbors. The Pentagon has used this information to push for Congressional approval to sell Kuwait eighty new AIM-120C Amraam air-to-air missiles, saying its fighters need them to intercept just such cruise missiles.--Stephen V Cole
