British Aerospace has completed the conversion of the first of 18 MR2 Nimrod maritime patrol planes to the new MR4A standard. This version of the venerable Nimrod has increased range, more and better sensors, and an enlarged weapons bay that will accommodate larger air-to-surface missiles and even new air-launched unmanned aerial vehicles.--Stephen V Cole
