Switzerland plans to set up a 100-man special forces unit. This would be the only Swiss unit to deploy outside of the country for combat; some Army units are sent on UN peacekeeping missions. The new unit would be available whenever Swiss citizens or assets abroad were threatened by a disaster, conflict, or terrorist event. One possible mission for the unit is to secure an embassy threatened by civil disorder in the host nation.Stephen V Cole
