The SA-2, S-75 Dvina in Soviet Nomenclature, has been in production since 1957. Before taking down Francis Gary Power's U2 in 1960, the missile shot down an RB-57D Canberra over China. The recon aircraft belonged to the Republic of China. This shoot down was the first successful surface to air action against a hostile aircraft. The reliable SA-2 continues to be used by allies of the former Soviet Union and the current Russian State.
