Persian Gulf (Dec. 30, 2005) - A pair of F/A-18 Hornets assigned to the "Valions" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Five (VFA-15) pass over the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) while preparing for an arrested landing aboard ship. Roosevelt and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8) are underway during a regularly scheduled deployment, providing close-air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces, and maritime security operations.
