POINT MUGU, Calif. (June 6, 2015) A Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) Block IIA launches from the Point Mugu Sea Range, San Nicolas Island, California in a successful first live-fire test in June. A second test was completed Dec. 8 as part of a cooperative development program between the Japan Ministry of Defense (MOD) and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA). (Missile Defense Agency photo)
