The government has shut down the local operations of news network al Jazeera. The government is not happy with al Jazeera's pro-terrorist reporting. Al Jazeera tends to report Islamic terrorist attacks as if they were a sporting competition, with the Islamic terrorists always being the home team. This does not bother Arab governments when the victims are non-Arabs, but it's another matter when the Islamic terrorists are operating locally and al Jazeera is cheering them on.
