Five Iraqi Kurd immigrants were killed when they accidentally entered a minefield separating Greece and Turkey. The Kurds were near the Kipi border post and had crossed the Evros (Meric) River from Turkey into Grecian Thrace. The Kurds were attempting to enter Greece illegally.
