On March 7 Albania agreed to send a small troop contingent to serve with the European Union's Bosnia peacekeeping force (EUFOR). Albania had participated in the US-led SFOR operation. The Albanian unit is tiny -- a 70-troop contingent. This is a "confidence building" operation for Albania and for its neighbors. Everyone in the Balkans is concerned about "cross-border meddling." But stabilizing Bosnia, Macedonia, and --ultimately-- Kosovo is in everyone's interest.
