Diplomacy is back in style. Taiwan's "commercial affairs ambassador" (the only diplomatic link has with China, mainly to tend to the numerous economic interests Taiwanese have on the mainland) is back in China to try and get discussions going on Taiwan's future relationship with China. India and China are also in talks to settle their 1960s ear border dispute. Meanwhile, in the Taiwan straits, Chinese warplanes approached to within 3,000 meters of a US recon aircraft, causing a bit of a stir.
