The first Colombia drug lord in nine years has been extradited to the US. The Colombian rebel groups threatened dire consequences if the government allowed any drug lords (who have a long standing business relationship with the rebels) to be extradited. Police captured 13 ELN members, including those believed responsible for the hijacking of an airplane in April.
