Several attacks in the southern part of the country killed none policemen and fourteen civilians. Several more were wounded. Two terrorists were killed when a bomb they were working on exploded by accident. In the past ten years, an average of 26,000 people have been murdered annually, and another 32,000 killed in road accidents.
