Some 650 kilometers southeast of the capital, the army offensive against a 2,000 man FARC force continues, although heavy rains have slowed things down. Some hundred rebels have been killed and prisoners indicate that morale is low among the FARC fighters surrounded by army troops. The army has seized weapons and illegal drug facilities.
