FARC appears to be branching out, with captured Peruvians and Ecuadorians admitting they had been trained in FARC camps. The army has been operating more aggressively on the  Ecuadorian border, trying to disrupt FARC movements in and out of Ecuador. But FARC like organizations are appearing in Ecuador and Peru, alarming the local governments. FARC has become very good at protecting drug operations and terrorizing local civilians into cooperating with this.
