Two large bombs went off in Kashmir, leaving 50 wounded, including two policemen. Police soon arrested six men suspected of participating in the  bombings. Meanwhile, poor morale among Indian troops in Kashmir resulted in another incident where two angry, and drunk, paramilitary troops opened fire on other troops. Five soldiers were killed in this incident. Several dozen have died in earlier incidents. Some 34,000 have died in the Kashmir violence over the last twelve years.
