India successfully test fired an Agni-II intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) in early January. The two-stage missile was fired from a mobile launcher in Chandipur. It has an official range of 1,250 miles and could in theory carry a nuclear warhead. China expressed concern.--Stephen V Cole
