Two Arabs were arrested as they cross the border from Afghanistan. They are suspected of being part of the bin Laden organization. Some 3,000 Pakistani Pushtun tribesmen are massing on the Pakistani side of the border in order to enter Afghanistan and support the Taliban. About 2500 of the men have firearms, the rest swords and axes. Troops are being sent to the area to prevent the tribesmen from entering Afghanistan. In Kashmir, rebel violence left eight rebels, five soldiers and two civilians dead.
