Gunfire continues to be heard on the border between Bangladesh and India. There are millions of illegal Bangladeshi migrants living on the Indian side of the border. This has provided a reason for tribal groups to form rebel movements to fight against the illegal migrants (and the legal ones from other parts of India.) Indian border guards often fire on illegal border crossers (who are sometimes smugglers, criminals or Indian rebels), and sometimes nearby Bangladeshi border guards fire back. India is also unhappy about over a hundred camps, of Indian rebel groups,  maintained in Bangladesh and Myanmar.
