 In northern India, Maoist rebels are learning from their Maoist brethren across the border in Nepal. The Indian Maoists, who have been in action decades longer than those in Nepal. But the Nepalese Maoists have been more radical, violent and, apparently, successful. Indian police commanders in northern India see signs of more aggressive recruiting by the Indian Maoists, and the establishment of training camps to create the larger combat units (up to a thousand fighters) used by the Nepalese Maoists.
