  A police raid on a rebel hideout in Aceh province left five rebels dead and several weapons recovered. Meanwhile, religious violence has broken out in West Nusa Tenggara province (east of Bali). Fighting between Moslems and Christians left some 25 people injured. The incident began after a Moslem cleric preached an anti-Christian sermon before 50,000 Moslems.
