 Over the weekend, the army said it raided nine rebel camps in the hills, and arrested 27 rebels. An undetermined number got away. The army believes they have the rebels on the run, and point to the rebels terrorizing and killing villagers, to keep them from giving information to the police, as evidence of the desperation of the rebels. The army believes that they have uncovered and occupied all, or nearly all, of the rebel bases in the bush. This is forcing the rebels to live among the civilian population, making the rebels more vulnerable to informers turning them in.
