Fighting has picked up in Aceh, with at least fifteen rebels killed in the last few days. The army is trying to find and destroy rebel camps in the mountain forests, as well as cutting the rebels off from the villagers who provide food and other support. The police are building a network of informers among villagers, and some of the clashes resulted from rebels entering villagers to kill known or suspected informers.
