Iran has test-fired two new domestically-produced missiles. One is a naval anti-aircraft missile developed from the US Navy Standard SM-1 missiles which were sold to the Shah in the 1970s. The missile has digital electronics and a frequency-agile receiver that would help evade jamming.
The second is an air-launched version of the Chinese C802 anti-ship missile with an improved guidance system. While the US convinced China not to sell more C802s to Iran, the Iranians have been able to produce the missile themselves under the name Fajr-e-Darya.--Stephen V Cole
