The government says it has broken up an Iraqi terror ring, with the arrest of twelve suspects and references to others abroad. The announcement indicated the those arrested were Iranian Arabs from Khuzestan, a province on the Iraqi border with a majority Arab population, a lot of oil and a number of separatists. Ten or more bombs were said to have been found and defused, and the ring was thought to be planning to bomb foreign embassies.
