The Israeli Air Force says it wants to move from the current system where unmanned recon drones provide targeting data to manned tactical bombers to a new system in which manned tactical aircraft will be fitted with sensors and become able to detect air and ground threats on their own. This will require serious spending for new equipment for the F-15 and F-16 aircraft.--Stephen V Cole
