: 10.0pt"> Israel and Palestinian negotiators continue working out little deals, in the hope of eventually pulling off a major breakthrough. Israel is willing to withdraw settlers (by force, if necessary) and the Palestinians say they are willing to restrain terrorists and radicals (by force if necessary). But the Israelis are waiting to see if the Palestinians can do their part. The majority of Palestinians have sunk into poverty because most have been unable to work in Israel because of the terrorist attacks. While about half of Palestinians support the terrorism, and the idea of taking over all of Israel, people want to live at more than a subsistence level.

Many terrorists are suffering falling morale, and over 30 have surrendered recently.
