A small number of Palestinian terrorists are refusing to join the ceasefire. Israel is still hunting down, and arresting terrorists who continue to plan attacks on Israelis. The Palestinian Authority is demanding that these hardcore terrorists either get with the program, or face Palestinian, as well as Israeli, search parties. Israel will wait for the Palestinians to shut down all terrorist groups, at least until the next major terrorist attack on Israelis. It is now thought that Palestinian terrorists have smuggled portable anti-aircraft missiles into Gaza. If one of these brought down an Israeli military helicopter or jet, it would be a setback to the peace talks. But if one of these missiles brought down a civilian air transport, all peace efforts would halt and the Israeli counter-terrorism forces would go in big time. A missile attack on Israeli civilian aircraft would threaten Israel's tourist industry, and the ability for Israelis to easily fly in and out of the country. Israel believes that Palestinian Authority officials are involved in smuggling weapons, and these missiles. The Palestinian Authority is also accused of not putting pressure on known (especially to the Israelis) Palestinian terrorists.
