Despite recent skirmishing, five of nine former rebels have taken up their ministerial posts in a new government of national reconciliation, following a weeks-long delay. The five are civilians, however, as the other four are probably exercising caution while bullets are still flying.

At 0300, about 500 rebels on 30 vehicles ( including six vehicles equipped with 14.5 mm machine guns) coming from Danane attacked government forces at Binhoue. There was no initial casualty count. - Adam Geibel
