South Korea will buy (for $304 million) 111 of the new, 300 kilometer range, US ATACMS 1A missiles (fired from 29 MLRS launchers included in the deal.) The missiles will arrive in 2004. The longer range (the older ATACMS only went 165 kilometers) and more accurate missiles cover just about all of North Korea.
