There have been allegations for years that some PKK Kurd fighters had supply sources inside Iran. On November 22 Iran sent to Turkey seven PKK/KADEK fighters the Iranians arrested last March. One source quoted an Iranian official as saying that Iran had turned the PKK members over to Turkey because "Iran does not allow these individuals to penetrate its territory." Iran has made it clear to Turkey that it expects Turkey to help curb Iranian opposition groups operating inside Turkey.
