Documents found in RUF leader Foday Sankohs house indicate that he was giving half the diamonds taken from RUF diamond fields to president Charles Taylor of Liberia. In return, RUF got weapons from Liberia and sanctuary for its bases. Meanwhile, Liberian politicians insist that 7,000 rebels are massing in neighboring Guinea, Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone to invade and overthrow the Charles Taylor government.
