In an obvious, but long neglected move, India and Nepal have agreed to eliminate rebel groups operating in the border area. For years, anti-Indian rebels have had camps in Nepal and anti-Nepal rebels had bases just across the border in India. For nationalistic reasons, both nations refused to crack on the other nation's rebels (as long as the rebels behaved themselves when outside their own country.) The next move will be difficult, for the Nepal-India border is mountainous and heavily forested.
