About a hundred Chechen rebels drove into neighboring Ingushetia and attacked government buildings in three towns, including the provincial capital, after Midnight. After  fighting for half a day, and leaving at least 92 dead (most of them soldiers, police and government officials), the Chechens went back to Chechnya with dozens of captured weapons.
