Several sources reported UN observers in the DRC said Hurundi Hutu rebels based in the DRC were accepting the peace agreement reached between the Tutsi-dominated Burundi government and the Hutu FDD. One report said, attributed to a DRC military officer, said that Burundi Hutu fighters he had met were coming in because they want to go home. The rebels said they would turn in their weapons.
