Rwanda continues to battle Hutu rebels along the border with Congo. The Hutus continue to raid into Rwanda from bases in Congo. In 2002, Rwanda agreed to get its troops out of Congo in return for Congolese troops shutting down Hutu rebel camps in Congo. But continued disorder in Congo has prevented Congo from getting much of an armed force to the Rwanda border area until recently. The Hutu rebels are not doing so well either, as most of the fighters are tired after ten years of fighting and living in the bush.
