Negotiations continue to obtain the release of the six remaining British soldiers held by the West Side Boys. British commandoes (SAS) have reportedly arrived in Sierra Leone. The government does not want to negotiate with the West Side Boys and would prefer that the group be destroyed. The West Side Boys are demanding that a new government be formed, with them being given an important role.
