Members of the new government were fired on by warlord gunmen, as the officials toured Mogadishu. The new government is generally popular with Somalis, but several major warlords are still unsure if they want a government re-established. Some of the warlords have said they would fight if the African Union followed through and supplied the new government with peacekeepers.
