mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"> Sri Lanka and Thailand have agreed to cooperate to foil LTTE operations within Thailand. For the last few years, the LTTE has been very active in Thailand and Cambodia. Decades of fighting in Cambodia have left the area awash with weapons, which are now being sold cheaply. This has been the main source of arms for the LTTE. The weapons and other equipment were shipped from nearby Thailand to Sri Lanka.  Meanwhile, fighting continued in the northeast, with another dozen rebels dead.
