Two bombs went off in southern Thailand, wounding at least fifteen. Islamic separatist rebels were suspected because ten of the victims were police. The Islamic radicals see the police and army as "infidel invaders." Southern Thailand has been Moslem for centuries, but part of Thailand for only about a century. One of the bombs was set off with a cell phone, which has become a standard Islamic terrorist technique.
