Police arrested a British citizen, of  Algerian descent, for trying to leave the country with 450 forged passports. The illegal documents had been purchased from a Pakistani man working for one of the many gangs in Thailand that specialize in creating, and distributing, false documents. The 450 fake passports had been purchased for $12 each. Most of the fake passports are used for smuggling illegal migrants into Europe and North America. The documents, in this case, were on their way to Britain, where they could also be used by terrorists. Thailand has long been a major source of false travel documents.
