Is Sudan once again supporting the LRA? Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni seems to think so. On November 12, Museveni issued a statement that said some in Khartoum government wanted to renew support for the LRA implying that they might be doing so. He said that Uganda would sever ties with Sudan. The Sudanese government rejected the indirect accusation and claimed that Sudanese-Ugandan relations were fine. Whats going on? Uganda is puzzled at the resiliency of the LRA. Despite smashing LRA base camps in south Sudan, the LRA manages to harass supply convoys and raid villages in northern Uganda. (Austin Bay)
