The LRA in southern Sudan appear to be preparing to move their camps, to put them in more remote areas and break them up into smaller camps. The survival of the LRA depends on the effectiveness of the Sudanese army in finding and destroying these camps. The Ugandan army has been allowed to chase LRA groups into southern Sudan. But the Ugandans do not have sufficient ground or air forces to seek out all the LRA camps along the border. If the Ugandan and Sudanese armed forces are able to work together, the LRA could be destroyed in a year or two.
